So, a dumb question maybe, but why weren’t Jews held to the same anti-usury laws as others in the nations where they lived?

I almost went on this dogleg in the article. The question is if we can have a Christian nation by volunteerism, without putting Christians at a disadvantage to those who don’t volunteer to live by holy laws.

IE, those who say “We’ll have a Christian nation when enough people convert” overlooks the fact that without Christian laws, the unconverted will make mince meat out of us.

JD - What would you say to a 31 year old male who refuses to work because the whole system is corrupt and rigged and therefore to work it to both facilitate and participate in the corrupt, evil system?

Speaking of Wilson, I would be interested in hearing what you have to say about his argument that Romans 11 imposes a special duty on Christians to treat Jews with extra caution and respect. I read his book on the subject but can’t seem to find it—I must have given it away at some point. But it seems to me that Wilson is still under the influence of Scofield—he has gotten rid of the premillennialism but kept the Zionism.

The prohibition of mistreating Jews in Romans 11 does not require showing favoritism or special treatment.
