An excellent summation, as usual, from JD about something big so many Christians get wrong. When my eyes were finally opened concerning Dispensationalism years ago, it was the Blessings and Curses passages in Scripture that really hit home. God has always been faithful to relent of His anger when Israel turned from its wickedness, but those days have been gone for a very long time.
This took me 3x longer than the 33 min listening time because I kept pausing, making notes in Logos, rewinding, checking scripture, making more notes, etc. So many important points.
I see Dispensationalism as a kind of theft. It robs believers of the beautiful truth and peace of Christ, and replaces it with uncertainty, favoritism and falsehoods. It's sinister and destructive, and I'm grateful for the work you do in exposing it.
This article is a gift for any Christian who has at one time or another felt that something was wrong with this framework but couldn't pin down what.
Your article is dead on. I agree with all you have written here except connecting Dispensational to Zionism. These are two separate matters. There is a book (Dispensationalism before Darby) worth reading that shows Dispensation was around long before Darby. I am not an Israelite sycophant. I have spoken many times about the sinister Israelis’, and reminded many, they are antichrist! Those who look forward to an Israeli temple are not of God but Satan as it is understood that the temple will be built for him. God has his temple not created by hands but by grace. The fact that God destroyed the wicked temple is evident and the temple to be built is Satan’s attempt to copy the temple of God. This does not mean Isreal would not come about as is evident.
However, the understanding of the bible thru Dispensational structure is profound and should not be confused with Zionism. Dispensational teaching can and has been hijacked, but it should not be considered synonymous with Zionism.
