Brought to You By Pfizer: Pence Attacks on RFK Jr Funded By Big Abortion/Big Pharma
If you didn't have enough reasons dislike the former vice president, I'll give you one more; he works for the abortion lobby.
One would have thought that when Mike Pence sabotaged his political future (if he ever had one) by telling Tucker Carlson that the good of the American Citizens was ‘not my concern,’ that he would have slinked off into obscurity. If you haven’t seen that clip, I’d recommend watching it below.
For you paid subscribers who are listening to the audio version, I’ll describe the clip for you. Tucker Carlson is moderating a town hall of 2024 Republican presidential hopefuls, and recalls for former Vice President Pence the poor state of America’s economy and its rampant crime problems. When asked he was continuing to advocate for billions of dollars of money and his attention being given to Ukraine, Pence answered, “that’s not my concern.”
Someone forgot to tell Pence not to say the quiet part out loud. Many of us have caught on, over the years, that American domestic policy is overshadowed by our foreign policy, and our foreign policy is dictated by war profiteers and foreign interests. But in my many years of working for politicians both on and off their payroll, I’ve never seen any one of his high stature flame out so irreparably and so permanently from a single careless answer.
With his political future now laying in a dead heap in the past, Pence has moved on to what failed politicians always do; grift on behalf of lobbyists. In doing so, he’s jumped under the covers with some strange bed-fellows. He recently appeared on a podcast with Russell Moore, the former president of the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), who doted over him with glowing affection. It was only a few years ago I had written about Pence speaking at the Southern Baptist’s annual convention, and Moore’s ERLC employees turning their back to him while he spoke, to protest his presence. But as Pence has become the enemy of Donald Trump, the truism of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” has become the tie that binds Pence and his new friends together.
MUCH OF THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT IS A GRIFT
When Pulpit & Pen brought on Alan Maricle, an abortion abolitionist from Oklahoma, on board as a contributor, it opened my eyes to so much about the so-called “Pro-Life Movement.” Thanks to groups like Abolish Human Abortion (AHA), the real intentions of the Pro-Life Movement have been laid bare for many people. And chiefly, their intention has been to use infant-slaughter as a means to curry votes and make piles of cash. And because that’s been the goal, ending abortion never really was.
This seems far-fetched for many. But when one looks closer at the Pro-Life Movement over the years they see that some of its most prominent spokesmen or spokeswomen have placed themselves as roadblocks to legislation designed to abolish the practice of baby sacrifice. They have almost universally opposed, for example, the criminalization of parents who pay the Planned Parenthood hitman to assassinate their child. But when the Supreme Court ruled in Roe v Wade, their judicial opinion was based upon the state of Texas not penalizing the mother for the crime but only the doctor, and surmised that if abortion really was murder - as the state contended - then the law would have treated her as such all along. How awful it’s been, therefore, to watch the Pro-Life Movement continue to treat murderous moms and dads as secondary or tertiary victims of the abortion lobby.
Time and again, the major Pro-Life organizations have thwarted abolitionist legislation, at times even campaigning actively against laws that would criminalize and ban abortion. Time and again, Republican politicians who were elected on the Pro-Life platform single-handedly smothers abolitionist legislation in committee, or torpedoed the legislation in other ways.
It’s become clear that the Pro-Life lobby has used the abortion issue as a means to get people elected who - if given the chance - wouldn’t end abortion for the same reason that - if given the chance - affirmative action and DEI proponents wouldn’t end racism. They need these sins to continue, because the sins galvanize their support and rake in hundreds of millions of dollars to fund their organizations, pay their salaries, and grease the palms of officials they work with.
There are a million ways to demonstrate this, and I would encourage you to check out material from Abolish Human Abortion (AHA), their de facto leader, T. Russell Hunter, or abolitionist politicians like Rep. Dusty Deevers (OK) for more information. But so far as this article goes, I’ll use as my example that of former VP Mike Pence.
In a disgusting turn of events, the politician placed as Trump’s vice president in 2016 largely by the Republican establishment to control him, carries as his mantle ‘Pro-Life.’ But after you read the rest of this article you’ll realize that, this too, is a shameless grift.
ADVANCING AMERICAN FREEDOM
Pence's advocacy group, Advancing American Freedom, has explicitly criticized Kennedy not just for his abortion views but also for what they describe as "loony ideas" and “left-wing ideological beliefs” that they argue do not align with conservative values.
Pence has used his imaginary gravitas with Senate Republicans to actively urge them to reject Kennedy's nomination for HHS Secretary. Pence has included warnings about the implications of having someone with Kennedy's views on abortion leading an agency that makes daily decisions affecting life issues. Never mind, of course, that Kennedy would be working for President Trump, and has assured the Senate Inquisition that he will uphold Trump’s beliefs on abortion.
Pence’s X account is largely used to advocate for war against, well…almost every foreign power on Earth, and to lobby against confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Attacking RFK Jr. has become, it seems, Pence’s full-time job. In fact, his organization, Advancing American Freedom, has raised more than 5.4 million dollars in 2022. Their report isn’t out yet for 2023 or 2024, but I would suspect that amount would be just a penance of what it raised during his failed presidential bid and its current arc of opposing RFK.
But where is Advancing American Freedom getting its money? I’m glad you asked.

ADVANCING AMERICAN FREEDOM (AAF) IS A FRONT FOR BIG ABORTION AND BIG PHARMA
AAF received a six-figure donation from the Searle Freedom Trust in 2021 as seed-money for Pence’s new organization. And who is that, exactly? The Searle Freedom Trust was established in 1998 by Daniel C. Searle, who was the CEO of G.D. Searle, a pharmaceutical company later acquired by Pfizer. Why give to Mike Pence? Well, the Searle Freedom Trust does give some to supposedly conservative causes, like the Manhattan Institute. But in reviewing their donations to conservative think tanks, I surmised that all of them have one thing in common; like the Manhattan Institute, they all coalesce with the Russell Moore and Bill Kristol wing of the ‘conservative’ establishment.
But Pfizer’s entanglements with the Searle Freedom Trust certainly is interesting. What’s of further interest is that those attacking Kennedy the loudest on the ostensible right (like Russell Moore, Mike Cosper, David French, and the like) all have played footsie with genocidal, pro-abortion maniac, former NIH director, Francis Collins. Surely they couldn’t venerate Collins on one day, and then hate Kennedy for not being pro-life the next with any degree of meaningful credibility. And yet, they have.
G.D. Searle & Company, which was founded by Gideon Daniel Searle in 1888, was acquired by Monsanto in 1985 for $2.7 billion. At the time, Daniel C. Searle, who later established the Searle Freedom Trust, was the Chairman of G.D. Searle. After the acquisition, G.D. Searle became a part of Monsanto, and eventually, after further acquisitions, it became a subsidiary of Pfizer.
In 2023, after a federal judge's decision to suspend the FDA's approval of mifepristone, (an abortion pill), Pfizer's CEO, Albert Bourla, was among over 400 executives who signed an open letter calling for the reversal of this ruling.
Why would that be? Pfizer sells and manufactures misoprostol under the brand name Cytotec. Misoprostol is used off-label for abortion when combined with mifepristone. According to Verified Market Research, the Misoprostol Market size was valued at USD 1.4 Billion in 2023 and is expected to reach USD 2.6 Billion by 2031. That’s a lot of money at stake.
Obviously, Pfizer and other Big Pharma companies aren’t primarily concerned about Kennedy enforcing Trump’s abortion policies. Rather, they’re concerned about Kennedy allowing them to be sued for vaccine injuries. What’s at stake for Big Pharma is this PREP Act, which provides liability protections for manufacturers, distributors, and administrators of medical countermeasures, including vaccines, during public health emergencies. For COVID-19 vaccines, this act offers considerable immunity from lawsuits for "covered persons" for claims of loss caused by the administration or use of a covid vaccine.
But the financial connections between Pence’s groups and Big Pharma don’t stop at a single huge donation by a Pfizer subsidiary. It goes much deeper.
In June 2023, David Ricks, the CEO of Eli Lilly, donated a large sum to Pence’s PAC. This donation was one of Ricks' largest contributions ever made to a political action committee. This donation is notable because Eli Lilly has publicly opposed some of Pence's stances, particularly on social issues abortion bans and religious freedom. Everyone thought it was really strange at the time. How could Pence benefit the far-left Eli Lilly group?
Eli Lilly has been listed among companies that have donated to Planned Parenthood. According to a 2015 report by The Daily Signal, Eli Lilly was among the 38 companies that had directly funded Planned Parenthood. This was based on research by 2nd Vote, which tracks corporate contributions to political causes. In addition, Eli Lilly matches employee contributions made to Planned Parenthood.
Merck, through its political action committee (PAC), also contributed to Pence’s PAC. According to an article from IndyStar, Merck was among several big drugmakers whose PACs donated to Pence. Other Big Pharma donors to Pence include Johnson & Johnson and Suovion Pharmaceutical. All profit from drugs used in the chemical abortion process and support pro-abortion groups.
But guess what? It goes even deeper than all that.
Pence’s chief of staff and co-author of his anti-RFK letter sent to U.S. Senators, is Marc Short. And Marc Short is in deep with Big Pharma, financially. His stock holdings in Big Pharma are valued between $506,043 and $1.64 million in various companies.
The companies include 3M, Abbott Laboratories, Gilead Sciences, Procter and Gamble, Medtronic, Bistol Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Thermo Fisher, Eli Lilly, Merck, and Pfizer. Some of these are very significant holdings, with more than six figures held by Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.
When he was chief of staff during Pence’s tenure as VP, Short attended meetings with pharmaceutical companies, including some in which he had stock, which raised concerns about conflicts of interest.
The watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed an FBI complaint against Short, alleging he might have violated criminal conflict of interest laws by holding stock in companies directly affected by the government’s pandemic response.
Various media outlets, including NPR and Newsweek, reported on Short's stock holdings, highlighting the potential ethical issues. And now, Short has resurfaced as spearheading Pence’s attacks on RFK. Is all this coincidence?
CHEMICAL ABORTIONS ARE THE ABORTIONS OF THE FUTURE
With Trump in power and Roe overturned by Trump’s Supreme Court, leftist recognize that chemical abortions will be the majority of those done in the United States. In fact, they already are.
By 2023, chemical abortions accounted for 63% of all abortions in the formal U.S. health care system, up from 53% in 2020, according to the Guttmacher Institute. This marks a significant shift towards medication abortion over surgical procedures.
Since the FDA approved mifepristone in 2000 for use in medication abortions, the method has steadily increased in prevalence. It first became the majority method in 2020.
STRANGELY, A FIGHT FOR A PRO-ABORTION SECRETARY OF HEALTH IS A FIGHT AGAINST ABORTION
In order to mitigate the threat of chemical abortions on America’s unborn children, Big Pharma has to become liable for the deaths they cause to the infants and the physical damage done to the mothers. In other words, they need to be sued into oblivion.
Oddly enough, the man to abolish Big Pharma’s extensive legal liability protections is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who is personally pro-abortion. Mike Pence and his Big Pharma donors know this, so they’re fighting him with every ounce of their being.
Spurgeon said that discernment is not telling the difference between right and wrong, but between right and almost right. And there’s a lot almost right about Robert F. Kennedy. His abortion stance is not one of them. But there’s a lot that’s outright bad in regard to Mike Pence being funded by Big Abortion and Big Pharma in the name of being Pro-Life.
In fact, it’s despicable.
